Darryl is a software developer and evening instructor at Codeworks. Every day he gets to teach the thing he loves most, programming. He has had many different careers, but technology has always been a focal point in his life. After attending Oregon Institute of Technology for a dual degree in hardware and software engineering, Darryl discovered he had a much greater passion for software and has stuck with it ever since.
Darryl enjoyed building small games mostly for fun and working remotely with a game development company, but decided to take a more formal approach to dive deeply into the developer community in Boise. He decided to take the Full Stack Immersive course at Boise Codeworks to expand and enhance his skills after meeting the instructors at a local VR event.
Throughout the course Darryl greatly enjoyed helping his fellow students learn to code and at the end of the course was extended an offer to join the Codeworks Team. When he isn't teaching, he likes to build and play games. He is also an avid outdoorsman who loves to hunt, fish, mountain bike, rock climb, gold mine, and backpack in the Idaho wilderness.
